This page is serving as a Memorial for the late Michael Nathan Mcguire (birthname Michael Paul Ivester). He sadly passed away at 42 on April 30, 2023 from ALS caused by cervical spine injury from a vehicle accident on January 22, 2022. His fiance' and family are continuing to help others with this affliction in his honor due to the tragic mishandling of his medical care. Mike was a 6'3" strong healthy Nordic-American construction worker and former US Marine from South Carolina, settled in Southern California. Very well-loved by family, friends and community, he was a builder, a fixer, even a musician and drummer aka 'DJ Mcluvin" with many hidden talents and a sparky sense of humor. He will not be forgotten nor will his death be in vain. His legacy will live on with ALS answers- which will change the world by educating on true spine injury causes of ALS "Amyotrophic Lateral Schlerosis" aka "Lou Gehrig's Disease" (progressive paralysis) leading to better options like spinal decompression and surgery. Mike's last words on his eye gaze device were "I'm never giving up". We will keep honoring that intent with this mission.
